The Story Behind Oklahoma OnStage.

After more than 30 years in the theatre community in Oklahoma, we realized that there is a vast amount of talent in the state that literally goes unnoticed and uncelebrated.  We decided it was time to give something back!

Latest Episode

Brent Pederson

In this episode, Tim sits down with the Classen SAS Middle School theatre teacher, Brent Pederson. From a degree in theatre design to developing theatre arts programs to leading a middle school program, which includes drama, musical, and tech classes, all in a completely renovated historical auditorium, Brent has a passion for his students that is virtually insurmountable. His program is a little different than most youth theatre programs, and it prepares students for what it might be like if they pursue theatre beyond their academics. Come with us as we take a peek inside the world of college prep theatre in middle school.

"Being a guest on Oklahoma OnStage was one of the highlights of my very busy summer! Tim was thoughtful, organized, and well-researched. I enjoyed our conversation immensely, and have since become a regular listener to the show. It’s a wonderful resource for information and insight into Oklahoma’s thriving theatre scene."
Renae Perry

"I was a guest on the podcast and I enjoyed every minute of it! I like that Tim sits back and listens to his guests, asks really in-depth questions, and he does his research on the guests that he interviews. If you're a theatre lover, or just love the arts in general, I would recommend this podcast to you!"
Ford Filson
“Tim really goes above and beyond to make Oklahoma OnStage a celebration of the theatre community that's right here in our state. He works exceptionally hard to deliver a great product, solely because he loves the work he's doing. Theatre can be a tough environment to work in with its' negativity and competitiveness, but I believe this work brings us together through a shared love of the craft and connects us to our fellow Oklahomans.”
Brenna Wickstrom
Storyteller Theatre OKC
“Oklahoma OnStage is a well-produced and engaging podcast that highlights the theater community in Oklahoma. Even for listeners who may not be involved in theater, this podcast offers a great opportunity to explore the world of live performance and community storytelling.”

Meet Your Host

Tim is a teacher/trainer by trade and has been involved with theater for most of his life.  He started acting in high school and then in college.  After taking a break from performing, he returned to the theater in the early 2000s, focusing mostly on tech.  After more than 30 years in the craft, he has started delving into directing.

When not training or on stage, Tim is also a voice actor.  This skill is what has fed into the creation of the podcast.  His inquisitive mind, relatable demeanor, and love for theatre drive him to create something that highlights the efforts of those creating this artform for the world.
